Founded in 2022, Fish & Chips Reviews UK aims to find the UK’s best Fish & Chips, from Local Chippies to fine dining restaurants. This is a monumental task, and we estimate we’ve reviewed less than 0.5% of Fish & Chip-serving establishments in the UK.

So why bother? We’re very passionate about the classic dish, and with every review, we provide an accurate, independent account of each establishment, helping you to find your next favourite establishment. You can read all our reviews, or filter by region on the Reviews page.

All reviews are totally independent of the establishments. We fully pay for all the meals we review and all the photos are taken by our reviewers. Making the reviewal process accurate, fair and consistent across establishments is important and you can read more about how this works on our Reviewal Process page. It’s important to note though, that there is no formula or weighting for parts of the dish, everything is taken into account in order to award a wholistic rating, out of 5.

We also award “The Fish Award” annually to our favourite establishments reviewed that year. This is the UK’s dedicated award for excellence in Fish & Chips, as well as the atmosphere, service, and uniqueness of restaurants. The winners are announced on our website every September.
