“Deep-fried haddock with mushy peas and chips” £26.00 (£££)

The fish was of the highest quality, and its flakiness was unrivalled.

OUR VERDICT – 5 Stars

In the heart of Mayfair, Scott’s is renowned for its seafood, and has an impressive choice of quality fish and shellfish. Being the Editor of Fish & Chips Reviews UK, my choice of the deep-fried haddock was inevitable from the moment I entered the world of Scott’s culinary excellence.

The fish was of the highest quality, and its flakiness was unrivalled. With every bite of silky, moist haddock, you could taste the care the Chef and their team have dedicated to the dish. The chips are crisp and firm but with every bite, an inner warm softness is revealed. Lastly, but certainly not least, the glue (not literally of course) that holds the dish together is the fresh minty peas that completely elevate the rest of the dish to the next level.

As expected, the service at Scott’s was impeccable with impressive service speed. The restaurant itself is exquisite, much like the food served inside it, and exudes glamour as one would anticipate an establishment of such fame would.

The only drawback is of course the price tag that comes with the dishes served at Scott’s. Being one of the most expensive dishes on this site, it’s not for the faint-hearted but is worthwhile for a treat once in a blue moon.
