The Dish
“Freshly battered fish and chips – cod fillet, peas” £6.67 (£ – with soft drink included)
Whilst the service was prompt and friendly, expectations of the Fish & Chips were low. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the dish was considering its incredibly low price price range.
The fish itself was cooked well and had a crispy, golden batter. The fillet was fresh and of reasonable quality. The chips, on the other hand, were decent but could have been improved by being crispier and saltier.
The Bridge House has plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors so there’s no need to worry about not getting seating (even during peak times), unlike other smaller pubs in the area.
Overall, the Fish & Chips at the Bridge House was very good value for money, especially due to the large portion size, making it a good deal compared to other locations nearby.
