The Dish
“Fish and chips”, (££)
Langley’s Fish & Chips in Chippenham is a reliable establishment offering a decent fish and chip experience. While it may not reach the heights of some legendary fish and chip shops, it certainly holds its own with a solid offering that caters to locals and visitors alike.
The fillets are fresh, moist, and cooked to perfection, with a light and crispy batter. The chips at Langley’s are another strong point, although they can sometimes be rather greasy. The generous portion sizes ensure that you won’t leave feeling hungry. In addition to the classic fish and chips, Langley’s also offers a variety of other menu options.
The service at Langley’s is generally efficient and friendly. However, during peak hours, the wait times can be a bit lengthy, so it’s advisable to be patient during busy periods. There’s no seating arrangements on-site so it’s advisable to plan your visit accordingly.
Langley’s Fish & Chips provides a decent value for your money. While it may not be the cheapest option in town, the portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients justifies the price point. If you’re looking for a satisfying fish and chip meal, it won’t disappoint.
Overall, Langley’s Fish & Chips is a reliable option for those seeking a classic fish and chip experience in Chippenham. Verdict – 3.5 Star
